Things you should know:

Component Coverage is available for both Turbo and Sets of Injectors for certain Industrial Engine Applications C18 and below and covers contingent damage.


2025 New and Used Extended Service Programs (ESC) 

  • DPF/SCR aftertreatment coverage will be included in Platinum and Platinum Plus levels of New & Advantage ESC. 

  • Late fees: We no longer have a “Late fee for customers who buy New ESC in the second year of their Standard Factory Warranty (SFW).  Or third year, for those who qualify for 3 years of SFW.

  • To make this easy for you, the programming in Quote Plus no longer charges your dealership the “Late fee” in a separate charge from the cost of purchasing the ESC.

  • Late fees are still charged in cases where you do not get an Advantage or Overhaul ESC registered in the time allowed to do so.  Usually this is 30 days.  This is a true late fee charge for not getting registrations completed in the allowable time.

  • Even a delayed coverage start scenario for Advantage ESC or Overhaul ESC must be registered within 30 days of the last day of labor involved in performing the ADVANTAGE ESC inspection or the Overhaul ESC.

  •  Advantage ESC: An Advantage ESC Inspection is no longer required when transitioning from NEW ESC to Advantage ESC – as long as:

    • The serial number is less than 10 years from the build date, AND

    • The New ESC coverage has not expired.

    • This greatly affects the cost of buying Advantage ESC

1. New Engine ESC Program Discount Platinum or Platinum Plus:  Up to 20% off Dealer Net to customer (max $8000 paid by Cat.  Dealer must participate on discount)Example of program - Dealer Net ESC Contract $8000 x 20% = $2000 Discount to customer  - $1000 Caterpillar and $1000 Dealer - NAT-MLP-6432 this program requires selling dealer participation of 50%.
 
2. Used Engine Advantage, Overhaul and CCP ESC Program Up to 50% off Dealer Net to customer Max $10,000 Disount - NAT-MLP-6738
 
  • This is supported 100% by Caterpillar NAT-MLP-6738
    • Overhaul ESC
    • Advantage Used Engine ESC
    • CCP Turbo and Injectors
    • Overhaul ESC (Minimum 3 year [36 months]/5000 hr)
    • Advantage ESC -Component Plus Protection ESC (Injectors & Turbos) from 4L through 18L. Coverage: Minimum 3 year [36 months]/5000 hr Advantage ESC, Overhaul ESC, or CCP

    • Complimentary 2025 ESC for new content engines must register - 48 month unlimited mileage - $0.00 deductible
      • Note - ESC contract must be completed, signed, and copy provided to customer with terms and conditions
      • Eligilbe engines:  3406E (RWR, 4A6), C13 (RE8), C12 (RE6), C15 (237), C15 (4C2)
