DERMS is our Distributed Energy Resource Management System, also known as Cat® AMP. By incorporating Cat® AMP technology into your existing or new energy assets, you can monitor, control, and optimize your energy assets such as generators, battery storage, or renewables, to reduce costs and improve reliability.
What is Cat® AMP?
Caterpillar's Active Management Platform (Cat AMP) can be added to your existing or new power assets to lower your overall energy costs, allow access to additional revenue streams, and give you peace of mind that you'll always have power ready on your site.
HOW CAT AMP WORKS
When Cat AMP technology is paired with your power assets, you can save 20-30% on your energy costs and ensure you experience minimal downtime. Additionally, when your power assets are not providing backup power to your site, with Cat AMP, they can participate in different energy programs–providing additional income streas for your business.
When power consumption is high and energy costs soar, Cat AMP can automatically dispatch onsite assets (also known as Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) so your facility is not entirely running on grid power.
