In March Caterpillar unveiled the first and highly anticipated On-Highway Vocational Truck – the CT660. Before Caterpillar engineers started designing it, CAT asked vocational truck customers what they want and need from their trucks. CAT focused squarely on making this customer input a reality and delivered a full line of vocational trucks that are built for our customers’ demanding job applications.
The CT660 will roll off the line in mid-2011, and this work truck will handle a wide range of demanding applications. It will move the rock, haul the trash, pump the water, deliver the concrete and transport everything from harvested logs to our heavy equipment.
The CT660 will have three engine options including the CT11 (330-390 bhp), the CT13 (410-475 bhp), and in 2012, the CT15 (435-550 bhp). It will also feature the CAT® CX31 transmission
