The Lokotrack® LT96™ mobile jaw crushing plant by Metso is Milton CAT’s most compact mobile jaw crushing plant, and yes, it just goes where you need it to go – by airplane, by ski lift, or on a low-bed trailer.
A primary crusher for recycling or rock-based material, the Lokotrack® LT96™ mobile jaw crushing plant is typically used on a demolition sites or in construction to size material before transportation. The jaw crusher is hydraulically driven to ensure trouble free operation. With Active Setting Control™ (ASC) the crusher setting opens automatically in case of uncrushable material and returns back to original setting.

Material is fed on to the feeder by excavator or wheel loader. Two stage scalping section removes the fines which can be guided to main conveyor or side conveyor. Output material size is controlled by crusher setting.

A closer look

With its efficient screen module and return conveyor, the Lokotrack LT1213S can be used in a wide variety of applications, where one, exactly calibrated or two end products are required. As a full process plant, Lokotrack LT1213S crushes the feed material in the efficient NP1213M impact crusher. After crushing, the material is screened with the inclined screen, from where the oversized material is returned to the crusher by the return conveyor. In addition to this closed circuit crushing process, Lokotrack LT1213S can also be utilized in an open circuit process to make two different end product sizes.

Thanks to the intelligent controlling system, the whole process can be controlled and adjusted smoothly according to the specified end product requirements.

The Lokotrack® LT1213S™ is a fully equipped mobile impactor plant with a high-capacity dual-slope screen and a return conveyor. The LT1213S can be transported as a single unit on a low bed trailer.

User-friendly, robust, efficient

The dual-slope screen and radial return conveyor provide high on-board screening capacity and makes the Lokotrack® LT1213S™ easy to operate in closed and open circuits. The screening unit can be docked in just a few minutes. The LT1213S can be fine-tuned for aggregate, quarry or recycling applications including asphalt with features like a vibrating grizzly or pan feeder under the crusher.

The LT1213S has an advanced gearbox as standard, providing the most efficient crusher drive system on the market with assisted start and brake. The optimized hydraulic circuit with an independent fan and stand-by function provides up to 20% lower fuel consumption in addition to more power for the crusher.

The crusher service rotation is carried out by a 24V hydraulic power pack. New tools are provided to help change the blow bars and breaker plates. Special attention is paid to access to the service locations and trouble-free material flow. The stand-by function helps to save fuel and reduce noise when idling.

Metso's advanced dual-slope screen separates end products effectively and oversize material can be returned to the crusher. Radial return conveyor can be turned up to 90 degrees when the material is used as an end product. Magnetic separator is used to separate metals from the feed material and dust emissions minimized with an advanced encapsulation and high-pressure water spraying system.

The screen of Lokotrack LT1213S can be opened easily for servicing and screen mesh change using the hydraulic system.

The LT220D can be equipped with either the proven and powerful Nordberg® GP220™ or the HP200™ cone crusher. A large 
8.4 m2 (10 yd2) screen provides high capacity as well as excellent screening efficiency. By combining the Lokotrack LT220D with a LT106™ primary jaw crushing plant you can produce up to 3 calibrated end products using just two plants. The Intelligent Metso IC™ process control system ensures safe and reliable control of the crushing process.

Running both crusher and screen with a single CAT® diesel engine clearly makes a big difference. The maximum power available for the crusher is achieved by using efficient direct drive power transmission. As a result, fuel consumption is substantially decreased and running costs reduced.

The Lokotrack LT220D transforms into a very compact package. Weighing only 48 tons (105 000 lbs) with side conveyors on board, Lokotrack LT220D is easy to transport on most roads and highways.

Process overview

Lokotrack LT220D is typically used as secondary or tertiary crushing plant in a multistage crushing process to produce up to three calibrated end products. In an ideal situation the LT220D is combined with the Lokotrack LT106 primary jaw crushing plant to produce 1 to 3 calibrated end-products. This two-stage process has remarkably lower running costs and it is easier to transport than other solutions.

The primary Lokotrack feeds the material to the lifting conveyor which transports it to the screen. The oversize material is taken to the cone crusher and the screened material is divided to the product conveyors. After the material is crushed the revolutionary centrifugal lifting conveyor returns it back to the screen in closed circuit.

This mobile scalping plant makes it look easy… 

Even the scalping of sticky recycling materials becomes less challenging with the Lokotrack® ST2.8™ mobile scalping screen, a primary scalper available at Milton CAT that’s ideal for top soil and natural sand applications. The design principle has been simple – to optimize capacity in demanding scalping and to minimize unprofitable time on site. Bi-Power is available when operating with external electricity.

As you well know, the stickier the feed material the more throw needed in the scalping screen, and the Lokotrack® ST2.8™ has the biggest eccentric throw on the market to make it the best unit for the screening of top soil, demolition waste and river gravel. Additionally, the ST2.8 can be fine tuned even for sand applications. The clearance under the screen has been increased by 20% and the bottom deck area is larger compared with the ST272™.

In multi-stage crushing processes, the removal of fines is easy with a two-way split option. This feature combines material flow from the first and second deck to the main conveyor and maximizes the capacity and efficiency of the crushing process. Best part is, the belt feeder and chevron belts are standard features of the Lokotrack ST2.8.

Your Lokotrack ST2.8 can be ready for screening in minutes thanks to hydraulically operated conveyors and screen including a patent pending feeder mechanism. Did you know?

Your Lokotrack® ST2.8™ is suitable in multistage crushing processes to split the products between secondary and primary crusher, for example. Depending on the application, plate grizzlies, fingers, punch plates or wire meshes can be used on the top deck.

Material is fed by the excavator, wheel loader or conveyor.  The feeder lifts material to the two deck screen which then separates the material to oversize and side conveyors. With two way split option, top and bottom deck material can be combined to the oversize conveyor (fines removal).

Its three deck screen with four end products is highly appreciated in aggregate production. The Metso IC process control system makes sure that unit stays up and running whenever needed.

How it works

Material is fed by the excavator, wheel loader or conveyor. Depending on the application grid, vibrating grid or rock box can be used in a feed hopper. Lifting conveyor takes material to three deck screen from which fines and wing conveyors take material to end product piles or back to the crusher when operating in a close circuit.

SmartScreen™ Technology

The Lokotrack ST352 incorporates the revolutionary SmartScreen™ technology. The intelligent controller (IC300) not only controls the start up and shut down process, but also supervises and adjusts the unit automatically for optimum screening results. By controlling the feed rate and screen performance, it maintains maximum screening efficiency. In addition, IC300 carefully monitors all key functions and unit components to ensure longevity and reliability.

Large stockpile capacity

Lokotrack ST356 is a general-purpose, track-mounted mobile screen that combines high capacity and accurate screening results with the possibility to produce multiple end products. The ST356 is mounted on heavy duty twin 400 mm (15.75") wide hydraulically driven tracks. The heavy duty construction of the ST356 means it can easily withstand the rigors of even the toughest applications. Remote and radio controls provide for safe, easy movement around the job site.

4.8 m x 1.5 m (16' x 5') 2-bearing screen

The unique end-to-end crowning of the 4.8 m x 1.5 m (16' x 5') ST356 screen box allows for higher production and more efficient separation than with similarly sized flat screens. The ST356 has the largest capacity hopper in this category of machines.

On-board stockpiling side/product conveyors

On-board stockpiling conveyors allow for fast set up by eliminating the need for off-plant stacking conveyors. The self cleaning side conveyors have a patented folding mechanism that provides a compact profile for transport.

Ease of operation

The maintenance platform on the ST356 extends across the rear portion of the screen and provides easy access to the screen panels for mesh replacement. A ladder is supplied for quick access to the maintenance platform.

All ST356s are equipped with three-position hydraulic adjustment at the head pulley to prevent material blockage at this critical transfer point.

Cassette style feeder

The feed conveyor assembly is mounted on a slide tray. The entire unit may be easily removed, providing full access to all feeder components.

Lokotrack ST620 is a track-mounted mobile screen, specially designed for applications that require high performance and excellent mobility. Its good continuous screening capacity and adaptability to different crushing and screening processes make it the ideal choice for contractors and quarry operators working with a wide range of different applications.

The ST620’s frame is the same strong, robust frame used in the world-acclaimed Lokotrack LT mobile crushing units. The screening unit is equipped with discharge conveyors for four separate product sizes. The powerful diesel engine ensures efficient and independent screening in all conditions.

Efficient DS Series triple-deck screen

The high-performance DS triple-deck screen is specially designed for mobile applications. High capacity is guaranteed by a screen deck area of 11 square meters for all three decks and a steeper inclination angle at the loading end. Screening accuracy is in turn ensured by a shallower angle at the discharge end.

The hydraulically driven screen can be equipped with a wide range of screening meshes to suit different product sizes and requirements.

Metso SW348 mobile screens combine a heavy-duty design with proven technology to provide high production and increased durability even in the most demanding screening applications.

8' x 4' (2.4 m x 1.2 m) 4-bearing screen

The unique SW348 and SW351 end-to-end crowning screen boxes allow for higher production and more efficient separation than with similarly sized flat screens.

Ease of operation

On-board stockpiling and product conveyors allow for fast setup by eliminating the need for off plant stacking conveyors. The self cleaning wing conveyors have a patented folding mechanism that provides a compact profile for transport as well as an excellent stockpile height.

The maintenance platforms on the SW348 and SW351 extend across the rear portion of the screens and provide easy access to the screen panels for screen mesh replacement. Ladders with handrails are installed for access to the maintenance platform.

As an option, a hammermill type shredder allows for more efficient separation of materials prior to screening than more traditional knife style shredders. Optional remote control tipping function allows the operator to operate the mobile screen from his loader or excavator, increasing efficiency and plant production.

Three-deck mobile with SmartScreen™

This track-mounted standard unit is capable of producing four end products, three sized and one dependent on throughput from the reject grid. Depending on the application, an optional two-deck vibrating grid can be installed to yield even four sized fractions.
